- The first Taco Tuesday promotion was not for tacos. In 1967, a restaurant in Manhattan, Kansas, offered a deal on “Mexican tacos” on Tuesdays.
- Taco Tuesday is not just an American tradition. The phrase is also used in other countries, such as Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
- In 2019, LeBron James filed a trademark for the phrase “Taco Tuesday” for use in downloadable audio/visual works, podcasts, social media, online marketing, and entertainment services.
