Skinny Kitchen Has a New Look!

I’m so excited to share with all of you the great news…The re-launch of Skinny Kitchen! Check out the brand-new look and wonderful new features. It’s still a work in progress and I’ll be adding many other features but it is now hugely easier to use. Thanks to many of your comments and suggestions, I’ve taken your feedback into account and have made several great improvements.

Here are some of the new features that I’m most excited about:

New design: The new design is more modern and user-friendly. It’s also easier to navigate, with a clear menu and search bar.

Mobile-friendly: The new site is fully mobile-friendly, so users can access your recipes on the go.

Improved search: The new search engine is more powerful and accurate, making it easier to find the recipes you’re looking for.

Recipe filtering: You can now filter recipes by category, dietary restrictions, and more.

Print Recipe:
Now, there are two ways you can print your favorite recipes! One button lives at the top of each recipe page, as well as at the top of each recipe card. Simply click one of these buttons to open the printable page – now simplified to print on one sheet!
You can adjust the text size, and serving amount, and decide whether or not you want the nutritional information included. From there, you can click the print button, or email the link for the print page!

Jump to Recipe:
An easy way to jump right to the nitty-gritty. A convenient “Jump to Recipe” button is located at the top of each recipe page. Click the button to take you straight to the recipe card so you can get cooking!

Jump to Comments:
I love reading all of your comments and getting your feedback! After you’ve tried my recipes, click the “Let me know” link at the bottom of the recipe card to take you to the comment section. And, if you leave me a comment, I’ll definitely answer you back. Don’t forget to leave a rating, too!

Recipe Servings:
Now, you can easily change the recipe card ingredients to reflect the number of servings you want to make! Use the 1x, 2x, or 3x buttons in the Ingredients section of the recipe card to quickly increase the amount of servings. Or, if you want more control over the serving amount, hover over the serving number at the top of the recipe card to display a serving amount slider!

Pin a Recipe:
You can still pin and share my recipes! The share buttons are located at the top of each recipe page. You can also pin a recipe by hovering over its image, or clicking the “Pin Recipe” button located at the top of the recipe card!

Nutrition Info:
We all want to know the nutritional details of the recipes we make. Each of my recipes includes the nutrition information in two convenient locations; in my Skinny Facts box and at the bottom of the recipe cards! This information can also be included when printing recipes!

Favorite a Recipe:
Save all your favorite recipes! To do so, click the heart icon on the bottom right of a recipe. Create a Slickstream account or log into your existing account. If the heart is filled in green (rather than just the green outline), then it has been added to your favorites. You can click on the heart again and it will bring up a menu to remove from favorites and to see your list of favorites.

I would love your feedback on the new site! I enjoy reading all of your comments.

Thank you so much for joining me on Skinny Kitchen!
Now have fun skinny cooking! Here’s the link to the recipe index-

With my warmest wishes,

  1. Thanks so much, Peg! Please let me know if you have any questions or request with the new site.
    All the best,

  2. Thank you so much for the upgraded print option – you have been my salvation since I was on Weight Watchers and need to watch my sodium and my husband eats low fat. Not only do you give us GREAT meals but also the information to choose wisely. My only frustration was the printing. Solved!!

  3. Aw thanks so much for the sweet message, Pat!
I’m so glad my recipes have been working for you and your husband.
And, you were not the only one that didn’t like the old print feature but now it’s really user friendly.

    With my very best wishes,

  4. Hi Nancy, I’m going through the updated website and when under a specific category, I only see about 5 or 6 recipes with no option of going to the next page. It appears that many of them are missing. How do I find all the recipes? I must be missing something here.
    Thank you,

  5. Hi Jean,
It’s true with many of the categories you only see a handful of recipes. Just know that all of my 800 plus recipes are still on the new site but I still have to go through all of them and place them in their proper category. It’s been a lot of work creating the updated site and I’m still updating and making improvements. I sure hope to complete all of this in the next few weeks. If you are looking for a specific recipe you can put the name in the search bar and it should come up. Right now the category that has the most recipes is Dinner. You might find something you are looking for there.
    Stay tuned!
And, thank you for joining me on Skinny Kitchen.
    All the best to you,
