Fresh garlic adds great flavor to a variety of recipes. Especially vegetables. In case you haven’t noticed, I love adding fresh chopped garlic to so many of my vegetable recipes. I’m sharing 4 wonderful ones below.
Garlic is incredibly healthy that’s why it’s considered a super food! Garlic promotes circulation and helps lowers cholesterol. It also contains sulfur compounds that may prevent cancer growth. You can increase the health benefits you receive from garlic by letting it sit for about 10 minutes after you’ve chopped it before cooking it.
When a recipe calls for fresh garlic and you don’t have any on hand you can also use, for each clove, any of the following: ½ teaspoon of minced dried garlic, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder or ¼ teaspoon of garlic salt. If you use garlic salt, omit the same amount of salt from the recipe.
Now make some of these delicious veggies this week, packed with of course…Garlic!
