I just discovered this drink at Starbucks and LOVE it! If you like the flavor of cinnamon, you’ll love it too. My skinny version is ½ the calories of Starbucks skinny latte and my recipe is yummy! So convenient to enjoy anytime of day at your home. One (12oz) skinny latte has just 48 calories, 0 grams fat and 1 Weight Watchers POINTS PLUS.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for Coffee:

¾ cup strong brewed coffee, I used Starbucks vanilla for k-cup

2 packages Splenda, Equal, Truvia or your favorite sugar substitute

1 tablespoon water

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup fat-free milk

Instructions

1. Brew coffee extra strong. I used a K-Cup and brewed it stronger than normal.

2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together Splenda, water, cinnamon and vanilla until well blended, about 1 minute. Stir in milk and continue to heat over medium heat, stirring until steaming, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Transfer to a blender and process for 20 seconds until foamy. If you don’t have a blender, don’t worry about it. Just whisk the mixture continuously with a wire whisk until foamy.

3. Add ¾ cup hot coffee to mug. Pour foamy milk over the top.

4. Drink immediately. Enjoy!

Makes 1 (12 oz) drink

Food Facts
Starbucks Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte is made with espresso, steamed nonfat milk and sugar-free cinnamon dolce flavored syrup with cinnamon dolce topping and no whipped cream.

Instead of using sugar-free cinnamon dolce flavored syrup, I found that just heating cinnamon, vanilla extract, water and a sugar substitute works great.

Wow! This recipe has changed my life. I will filling my diet with some many calories (not to mention spending too much money) from Starbucks, but I couldn’t find the same coffee drink at home that I enjoyed so much. I have made this everyday since I found the recipe. I am a happy girl!

    Thanks for sharing!!!

I’m someone who actually tried this recipe this morning.

I did it different, I had to use 1/2 cup vit D milk and used 1 full teaspoon vanilla extract and kept using whisk because I lack a working blender. Otherwise made the same and then did over ice because I like the iced version from Starbucks.

I have to say, this was very very good. I can’t wait to try with a lower fat milk. I have felt VERY intimidated to make fancy coffee drinks at home and this was so easy and cheap and delicious.

You don’t know how happy you made me this morning. I really rec this recipe and it is so easy to do at home.

  18. admin Says:

  23. linda Says:

Thank you very much for this alternative to the cinnamon dolce k-cup! I used whole milk and real sugar.

  24. admin Says:

My pleasure Linda. I bet it tasted great! :)

  25. Summer Says:

I tried this recipe and loved it! I am wondering what changes you suggest I make if I wanted to try making a skinny vanilla latte, maybe just a half teaspoon of vanilla instead of cinnamon?

  26. admin Says:

I want to make a Skinny Vanilla Latte to share on skinny kitchen. But in the meantime, I’d use 3/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and omit the cinnamon. Plus I’d use a vanilla flavored coffee. My favorite is Starbucks vanilla coffee or use your favorite. Good luck Summer!
