Super yummy, reduced-fat smoked cocktail wieners get simmered in a tangy cranberry and barbecue sauce. With only 3 ingredients, this appetizer is ridiculously easy to make and perfect for last minute entertaining. The sauce ingredients might sound a bit strange but together they are amazingly delicious! In addition to an appetizer, you can serve as a main course with mashed potatoes or rice. ½ cup can whole berry cranberry sauce
¼ cup barbecue sauce, I like Sweet Baby Rays or Bullseye
1 (14 oz) package Hillshire Farm Turkey Lit’l Smokers (40% less fat), see shopping tip
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberry sauce and barbecue sauce. Stir and heat until the cranberry sauce is melted. Add cocktail wieners and cook until the wieners are heated through. Use toothpicks for serving.
2. This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled and such. Make in your crock-pot on low for 2-3 hours, if desired. Or prepare on stove-top and serve in a crock-pot on warm setting.
3. Leftovers freeze great!
