Summer Fruits…Get Them While They Last!

Summer offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy a bounty of delicious fresh fruits.  Strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, grapes, cherries, cantaloupe, peaches, plums, apricots and nectarines are just some of the fruits that are still in season.  Summer is one of the best times to saturate your body with these super nutrient, rich fruits.  Like other plant foods, fruits are packed with vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants.  The supermarkets are over-flowing with incredible varieties… All week I’ll be sharing delicious ways to incorporate these spectacular fruits.  Try to include as many different ones in your weekly diet to obtain the maximum health benefits.  There’s no better time to sink your teeth into some juicy summer fruit.
