Ingredients

  • 1 package Athens mini fillo dough shells (frozen) or other brand’s available, see shopping tips
  • 1 (5.3 oz.) container Chobani Low Fat Key Lime Greek Yogurt or your favorite
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • Fat-free whipped cream, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place shells on baking sheet. Bake for 4-5 minutes until browned. Cool.
  • Mix lime juice into container of yogurt. Blend well. Fill each shell to the top with a little yogurt, about 1½ teaspoons yogurt.
  • Top each with about ½ teaspoon fat-free whipped cream, if desired.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve. These are best consumed the day you make them. The shells get soft overnight. Or, if you don’t want to make all 15 shells to serve at once, the container of yogurt has a “best buy” date and will probably last for at least 1 week after opening. Store the shells in the freezer. Take out how many you want to use and bake for 5 minutes, then fill them.

  2. These are wonderful little nibbles! I filled them with plain, nonfat Greek yogurt and topped with fresh fruit – blueberries, strawberries, diced peaches, etc. A drizzle of honey is optional but adds so much. Thank you for really nice summertime treat.

  3. Thanks so much for sharing Jeanne. I love what you did with these fillo shells.
    All the best,
    Nancy
