Passover begins at sundown today, Monday April 18th, 2011. It’s a Jewish holiday to commemorate the deliverance from slavery in Egypt. It’s also known as the Festival of Unleavened Bread. The Hebrews, in their flight into exile, had time to prepare only unleavened bread (matzo) to take with them.
Here’s a delicious and easy recipe to doctor up boxed matzo using olive oil, garlic powder and dried herbs.
I’d like to wish all of you who celebrate a Happy Passover!
