Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2ยฝ tablespoons reduced-fat butter or Smart Balance Light
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette
  • ยผ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • ยผ teaspoonย  salt or to taste
  • ยผ cup sliced, chopped or slivered almonds

Instructions
 

  • In a large nonstick pan add 1-inch of water and trimmed green beans.ย  Bring water to a boil, turn down to medium and cook uncovered until beans are tender (5-7 minutes).ย  Drain.
  • Place green beans on a serving platter and keep warm.
  • Add butter to pan and melt.ย  Stir in olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.ย  When mixture begins to sizzle, stir in almonds.
  • Drizzle sauce over warmed beans and serve.
