Mangoes are not only super delicious they’re a good source of vitamins A, C and potassium. They contain several enzymes shown to help reduce inflammation. If you haven’t had one for a while, give it try. Choose mangoes that yield to gentle pressure, with no dark spots or blemishes. Use your nose: a ripe mango will have a very fragrant aroma. Ripe mangoes can be stored in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for two to three days. Quick tip for slicing a mango: Cut on both sides of it’s flat oval seed. Score a tic-tac-toe pattern into each section. Arch the scored section and slice the cubed flesh from the skin with a knife or pull off with your fingers. Enjoy!
