I love Weight Watchers and have recommended their program for years! For all of you who follow Weight Watchers, you have probably heard that after years of PointsPlus, Weight Watchers is updating their program and introducing a brand new SmartPoints system and plan in 2016. PointsPlus was focused on carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and fat. SmartPoints take into account calories, protein, sugar, and saturated fat. The new plan is designed to make eating healthy easier by steering you toward foods with more protein and less sugar and saturated fat.
Although I’m not a Weight Watchers site, I get so many requests to include points with my nutritionals (Skinny Facts), so I’m happy to include them. I’ll definitely be listing the saturated fat and the new SmartPoints on all of my recipes! Since I have hundreds of recipes on Skinny Kitchen, it’s a daunting task that will take me quite some time. So my plan is to add them first to all new recipes, the most current ones on my home page and the most popular recipes on my Skinny Kitchen. Eventually I will update all of them! I sure hope you’ll be patient. I will try to get this done ASAP. And, I will still include the PointsPlus and Old Points at the bottom of each recipe, for anyone not changing to this new plan. Please be sure to check back often as I’m starting to add SmartPoints daily!
Best of luck to you on this exciting new program!
Nancy
