Healthy Benefits

Cabbage contains a good amount of vitamins C, A, and fiber.

Apples are a rich source of flavonoids and polyphenols. Both are powerful antioxidants.

Walnuts are a great source of those all-important omega-3 fatty acids.

Cranberries have been valued for their ability to reduce the risk of urinary infections for hundreds of years.

Prep Tips

To make this salad easy to prep, buy already shredded bags of cabbage.  If you have any leftover cabbage, toss it into any type of salad. It adds texture and crunch.

This slaw and dressing can be prepared earlier in the day. To keep this slaw or any slaw from getting soggy, don’t toss in dressing until ready to serve.

Serving Tips

This slaw will make 4 wonderful vegetarian main course salads. You can add a little reduced-fat cheese to make it more substantial.  Chicken also taste great added to this slaw
