The Best Skinny Beer Margaritas
Grab a pitcher and get ready to make the most incredible margaritas you’ve ever had at home! The secret ingredient is light beer…Sounds a bit weird but don’t let that stop you from making this refreshing cocktail. You actually can’t taste the beer. It just adds a little fizz. The other two unusual additions are diet 7-up and frozen limeade concentrate. No blender or salt rimmed glasses needed. The skinny for each is 229 calories, 0 fat and 5 Weight Watchers POINTS PLUS. So easy to make and can be doubled or tripled. They go down very easy and will sneak up and get you, if you’re not careful. Everyone loves them! I made this and it was delicious! However when I plugged the nutrition info listed for the margarita into my WW calculator I came up with 4pp.

Hi Helen, I’m so happy you enjoyed the margarita. It’s one of my favorites! This is the rule of thumb I use to calculate a drink that contains alcohol. It was given to me by a Weight Watchers leader.
How can I estimate PPVs for foods with alcohol?
Here is a rule of thumb for estimating PointsPlus values for products with alcohol (not sugar alcohol): enter the alcohol grams as fat in the calculator. And if there is fat in the food, add the alcohol to the fat and put in the fat box. Why does this work? Alcohol has a similar calorie content per gram as fat.
For example, Tequila has 14 grams of alcohol.
I hope this helps!
