Most of us love smoothies because they’re refreshing, fruity, healthy and just plain delicious. The banana berry smoothie is one of the most popular at Jamba Juice..  My home version is chock-full of vitamins and fiber thanks to the frozen blueberries, strawberries, banana and juices. I’ve cut down on the amount of yogurt and sorbet and added some frozen strawberries to make this smoothie a even healthier. With all the frozen fruit, no ice is needed. ⅓ cup frozen blueberries

¼ cup frozen strawberries

2 tablespoons fat-free frozen vanilla yogurt, see shopping tip

Shopping Tips

V8 V-Fusion Light Strawberry Banana juice is sold in the juice aisle of the supermarket.

Buy fat-free vanilla yogurt at your local yogurt shop.

Raspberry sorbet is sold in most supermarkets in the ice cream aisle.  You can also use raspberry sherbet, if desired.

Prep Tip

To freeze a banana, first remove the peel, slice in half and wrap in plastic wrap.  Frozen bananas will keep in the freezer for several months.  Great to add to any smoothie.

I haven’t tried V8 fusion yet. My kids and I love Jamba but it’s so spendy. It would be fun to recreate at home. Thanks for the yummy recipe. :)
