It’s the season for giving thanks, spending time with loved ones and lots and lots of cooking and baking. So many recipes represent a special childhood memory.  I’ll be sharing skinny versions of many of these family favorites.  These will include recipes for turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, vegetables,  gravy, cranberry sauce and of course many decadent desserts!  I’m just trimming the fat and calories not the flavor.  There’s no denying yourself this time of year.  I want you to relax and enjoy every yummy bite, guilt-free!  Most of these savory sides and decadent desserts can be made a day or so in advance.  Who knows…This might be your tastiest, easiest and skinniest Thanksgiving yet!

    Have you ever made scalloped potatos in a crockpot or have a recipe for crockpot scalloped potatoes? I only have one oven and they take a lot of time. I really want to add this to my Thanksgiving Dinner recipe.

    Jill, I’ve never tried this recipe or any other like it in a crock pot. I’m not sure how it will turn out. Since you only have 1 oven, I’d make the potatoes in the springform pan a day a two before. Leave it in the pan and store in the refrigerator. Heat in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes before serving. Then remove it from the pan to a serving plate. I hope this helps!
